Rugby

Going into my second year of a Bachelor of Engineering in 2016 I've reflected positively on my enjoyment and success within the . My rugby career in the past few years has taken many large jumps, going from an under sixteen regional competition and being offered a scholarship to King's College to compete in the Auckland 1A 1st XV competition, and then having the privilege of leading the King's College 1st XV. Then to be involved with a Highly successful Waikato Under nineteen rugby team who became national champions. Highlights have been the occasions when we were lucky enough to play on TV and especially the win over St Kentigern's College towards the end of 2016. This year my goal is to stay competitive for starting positions in my club rugby, and in the next 2-3 years I would like to be striving for a position in the Waikato NPC squad. I have had a couple leadership positions in the past, at King's College I was a Senior School Prefect and a Deputy head of my Boarding house, as well as being Captain of the 1st XV. Currently I am working as a Surf Lifeguard at Waimarama beach, this past season was the first year I have patrolled as Patrol Captain, being in charge of people and responsible for people's life's is a stressful but rewarding occupation for the summer.
