Netball

Emily Patterson has always enjoyed being active and playing sport, taking up netball when she was 8 years old. She currently plays defensive positions GD, WD. Emily enjoys the team atmosphere of netball, working towards a common goal with her teammates and pushing herself physically. She captained the Under 15 and Under 17 Hutt Valley representative netball teams and the Upper Hutt College Premiere 1 team, and in 2013 received the Hutt Valley Player of the Year Award. She is currently playing in the Waikato Bay of Plenty National League netball team. Emily is from Upper Hutt and attended Upper Hutt High School, where she was Head Girl in Year 13. She is in her 3rd year of University studying a Bachelor of Environmental Planning.
