Cycling

Michaela Kerr has been cycling for 12 years and has dreamed of representing New Zealand since the age of six. Michaela says she enjoys the constant competition around each race. Her biggest achievements to date include representing New Zealand in 2016, winning the u19 jersey, and placing 2nd in the elite competition in the Calder Stewart series. Michaela has also competed in countless club races, has been a part of teams for Mike Geer Homes Women’s cycling, and has competed in Australia, representing New Zealand, at the Mersey Valley Tour. The most challenging aspect of cycling for Michaela is getting the training perfect so that she can peak at the right times in events. Her ultimate dream is to represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth and Olympic games and to continue racing professionally overseas in the United States or Europe. She will study for a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, majoring in Software Engineering.
