Sisters and brothers: for most, the longest relationship you will ever have with another person in your life. From birth, you walk the journey of your lives together, sharing parents, toys, burdens and joys. The childhood memories of bath time, the rivalries that almost always turned ugly or the pain of losing a loved one, these complicated threads are part and parcel of your sibling ties. But the ties that bind you to your sisters and brothers do not come without consequence and sometimes not everything is easily shared. SisterTies is a piece of original devised theatre that explores the weird and wonderful world of siblings and tests the love and limits of different familial relationships. Like a cast of sisters and brothers, we have played together and collaborated on our devising journey. The stage is our playground; plastic cups, ropes, garden stakes and a furry coat are our playthings. Join us as we push the boundaries of the sibling world; walk with us as we unravel the secrets of the threads that bind siblings and unpick the mysteries of the ropes that divide them.
