HCCM Sinfonia in concert
9 Apr 2016 11:00 AM
Hamilton Community Centre of Music’s Sinfonia Orchestra, sponsored by adult student (and keen saxophonist) Murray Allen, presents its first-ever major public concert, featuring a highly eclectic programme.
Murray has reached a significant birthday, and thinks there's no better way to celebrate it than by making some memorable music with his fellow musicians. Under the assured direction of conductor Oliver Barratt, Sinfonia will take you from Hobbiton to outer space and from heavy metal to jazz, with stops along the way to 19th century romantics and bohemians.
From 'Lord of the Rings' to Mendelssohn, 'Star Wars' to Dvorak, Led Zeppelin to Gershwin, this concert offers something for everyone. Come along and support our young musicians.
Tickets: $5 donation per adult/family - children free
