Frauenliebe und Leben - A Woman's Love and Life

As a special afternoon treat, preceding the newly formed annual German Lieder Festival and Workshop, Soprano Stephanie Acraman (Head of Voice - Waikato Conservatorium) and Pianist Penelope Cashman (Freelance Accompanist, Voice and Diction Coach Elder Conservatorium - Flinders University Adelaide) will entrance audiences with a collection of art songs on the theme of ‘a woman's journey through love and life’. The featured work in the afternoon's offerings is Schumann's celebrated song cycle "Frauenliebe und Leben". The programme will also include works around the same theme by Rachmaninov, Schubert and Granados.
