How to improve the environmental outcomes of farming
As New Zealand farmers seek ways to remain sustainable and profitable, the University of Waikato's Professor Louis Schipper will discuss the role of soils in maintaining and improving the environmental performance of our land. He will showcase the work of his team looking at using soils to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and approaches to help reduce nitrogen losses to waterways.

6.05pm: Presentation of the NZ National Agricultural Fieldays Sir Don Llewellyn Scholarship to Danielle Lelievre

6.10pm: Presentation by Professor Louis Schipper, followed by Q and A

6.35pm: Short panel discussion facilitated by Professor Jacqueline Rowarth, on working with the University of Waikato

6.45pm: Further networking and refreshments

7.30pm: Evening concludes
