Te Aorere Pēwhairangi & Kimiora Kaire-Melbourne

Te Aorere (Ngāti Porou) is a cultural and reo advisor, television presenter and te reo Māori sports commentator and more recently has become more prominent for his work in the online social media space. Earlier this year, Te Aorere brought awareness to the damage Cyclone Gabrielle inflicted on the East Coast communities through his fundraising initiative, Waewae the 35.

Kimiora (Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahungunu) is a Director/Producer and founder of Te Imurangi Media. She is passionate about promoting Māori stories from a distinctly Māori worldview. She recently produced the award winning series Homesteads which explored the culturally significant role homesteads have played in maintaining and strengthening Māori ties to their tūrangawaewae.

Te Aorere and Kimiora graduated with their Masters of Indigenous Studies in Māori Broadcasting from the University of Waikato.

Kereama Hoete (Mr G)

Kereama Hoete (Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Ranginui and Ngāti Awa) aka Mr G is a Māori contemporary multi-disciplinary artist and designer from Aotearoa. He's widely known for his artworks and murals, particularly those located in Tauranga Moana.

In addition to this work as a multi-disciplinary artist, Kereama is actively involved in promoting the recognition and preservation of Māori culture. He has worked with schools and youth organisations to encourage the use of Te Reo and tikanga Māori, and has collaborated with other artists and cultural leaders to create projects that showcase Toi Māori.
