| Reminiscent of Orson Welles' 1938 radio broadcast of War of the Worlds, this was a notorious hoax screened on British television (originally intended for April 1st) which claimed to have uncovered a conspiracy to move elites from a dying Earth to a colony on Mars. The programme was so successful it was later developed into a book. As with Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County, this was an alien story which many viewers refused to believe was fiction. | ||
