The University has some premises and land which under certain circumstances it leases or subleases to others.

In other circumstances the University leases premises elsewhere. Currently leases are in place for the various premises at Ruakura Satellite Campus; for the Language Institute at London and Tristram Streets in Hamilton, and Federal Street in Auckland; and for School Support Services at Tauranga, Gisborne, Rotorua, and Whakatane, and for the University of Waikato at Tauranga.
