Scholarships

Te Matatini Scholarship

Closing date: No set closing date

Open to students who are intending to enrol full-time in the postgraduate certificate, Te Huawarere: Assessment of Te Reo Māori in Competitive Contexts–From Theory to Practice and have judged Te Reo Māori at a regional and/or national performing arts festival. The Scholarship will cover tuition fees.

Te Pua Wānanga ki te Ao - The Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Studies Scholarship for Academic Distinction

Closing date: 31 Aug 2017

For students who have been enrolled in the New Zealand Secondary School system in 2016 and 2017 and are intending to enrol full-time in the Faculty of Maori and Indigenous Studies in one of the three majors. The Scholarship will have a value of $10,000 and will be paid directly towards tuition fees only.

Te Pua Wānanga ki te Ao Graduate Excellence Awards

Closing date: 01 Aug 2017

For students who are enrolled part- or full-time in a graduate degree in the Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Studies at the University of Waikato. The Award will have a value of up to $2,000.

Te Pua Wānanga ki te Ao Postgraduate Excellence Awards

Closing date: 01 Aug 2017

For students who are enrolled part- or full-time in a PhD in the Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Studies at the University of Waikato. The Award will have a value of up to $5,000.

Te Pua Wānanga ki te Ao Undergraduate Scholarship

Closing date: 01 Aug 2017

For students who are enrolled full-time in the second or third year of an undergraduate degree within the Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Studies. The scholarship will have a value of up to $1,000.
