Creative University Conference
15-16 August 2012
"The Creative University: Education and the Creative Economy Knowledge Formation, Global Creation and the Imagination" conference took place at the Ibis Hotel Tainui on the 15-16th August, 2012 in central Hamilton. This conference investigated all the aspects of education in (and as) 'the creative economy.' In light of this, the conference objective was to extend the dialogue about the relationship between contemporary higher education and the changing face of contemporary economies.
Education and research have been transformed in the development of knowledge economies, which positions education at the center of the economy/ creativity nexus. But are education systems, institutions, assumptions and habits positioned and able to seize the opportunities and meet the challenges?
