Configure UOW Students for iPhone and iPod Touch
Please Note: your device must be iOS version 3 or later to access the UOW Students wireless network.
Tap on the Settings icon on the main screen of the phone.
Tap the Wi-Fi link in the Settings page
Tap on UOW Students network link
Enter your email@example.com and your University password. Tap Join to connect to the network. If you do not include the @waikato.ac.nz the wireless will fail to authenticate and you will not be logged in
Verify that the Certificate says tools.its.waikato.ac.nz by AddTrust External CA Root. Tap More Details
Verify that the Details section matches what's shown below. When you've verified this is the case tap the Certificate link to go
Tap the Accept button to connect
After a short period UOW Students should have a tick next to it showing that you are connected to the UOW Students network.
If you tap on the ( i ) button next to the connected network (as above) it should show the details of your connection to the UOW Students network, displaying the netowrk IP address of the device (as below)
Log Your Own Ticket
The University has provided a Self Service tool through which you can log your own tickets (jobs). You can also search for a previously logged ticket to check it's status. For urgent jobs you can phone the ITS Service Desk: ext 4008 (838 4008) for support.
