Set Up Android for Roaming When Travelling
There are multiple phone network providers in some countries. These can change from visit to visit so you need to check this out before you leave or have the roaming app installed on your device. Info can be found on your phone network provider's website.
Go to your phone settings
Choose Wireless & Networking. Newer Android phone may have this as Data Traffic Management > Mobile Network Settings
Turn On Mobile Data (Turn Off if wireless is available)
Select Mobile Network
Turn Data roaming Off if wireless is available
Select Network Operator
Turn Off 'Enable always-on mobile data
Ensure Choose Automatically is selected. Otherwise if that option is not available, choose the correct provider from the list.
Log Your Own Ticket
The University has provided a Self Service tool through which you can log your own tickets (jobs). You can also search for a previously logged ticket to check it's status. For urgent jobs you can phone the ITS Service Desk: ext 4008 (838 4008) for support.
