Social Engineering

Social Engineering has become an important aspect of information security these days. It is defined as the art and science of influencing people to accomplish goals that may not be in the “target’s’” best interest. In other words, it is the breaking of security by interacting with people. Yes, it is a non-technical method of breaching security! Unlike computer hacking, social engineering is based on the psychology of what people expect from others, and people’s natural tendency to be helpful.
