Phases 1 and 2 of the on-going PUCM research programme were strengthened by a collaborative partnership between Waikato and Massey universities, with support from the universities of Auckland and North Carolina, as well as the consultancies Planning Consultants Ltd (Auckland) and Kokomuka Solutions Ltd (Opotiki).
This research collaboration was extended for Phases 3 and 4 of the PUCM research to include Lincoln University (Lincoln) and Lawrence Cross and Chapman Associates (Thames), and partnership agreements with the Ministry for the Environment and Landcare. In addition, collaboration includes a range of end-users from central and local government bodies, iwi and hapu and business groups.
These collaborations include: Ministry of the Environment, Department of Internal Affairs, Parliamentary Commission for the Environment, Office of the Auditor General and Local Government NZ; Waitakere, Tauranga, Opotiki, Papakura, North Shore, Auckland and Wellington district and city councils; Te Kawerau a Maki, Muaupoko Tribal Authority Inc., Ngati Raukawa (Tokoroa), Ngati Awa (Whakatane), and Ngati Maru (Thames); and the Employers and Manufacturers Association and the New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development.
The PUCM research team so far has included on a part-time basis the following people.
