Adjunct Professor Dr Gordon Walker (BA Hons.), LLB (Hons) (Otago); LLM (Adelaide); MBA (Syd.); SJD (Duke) is an advisor to Asian Development Bank (ADB) designated as International Business Law Expert.  At the ADB, his work involves company, secured transactions, securities regulation and trust law reform within the Private Sector Development Initiative. Other current positions include: Emeritus Professor at La Trobe University School of Law, Melbourne, Australia; Adjunct Professor at Texas Tech University School of Law, TX and Visiting Professor at the University of Houston Law Center, TX.

He was formerly Professor of Commercial Law (1999-2015) and Head of School (2004-7) at La Trobe Law; Paul Hastings Visiting Professor at Hong Kong University School of Law; Wallace Fujiyama Visiting Professor at the University of Hawaii and Visiting Professor (MBA program) at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He specialises in financial  markets law and is best known internationally as co-editor of the twin treatises on securities regulation; Rosen and Walker, International Securities Regulation, Vols.1-8 (New York: Westlaw) and Walker and Rosen, International Securities Regulation, Vols. 1-5 (New York: Westlaw).  In New Zealand, he is the lead author of Commercial Applications of Company Law, 5th ed. (2015). Since 2006, he has been extensively engaged in law reform work with the ADB and the European Bank for Re-construction and Development.
