Hillary Medal awarded

Congratulations to Tom Lane, receiving his medal from Acting Dean, Professor Al Gillespie at an award presentation in Auckland in August 2009, after completing his conjoint degree, Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Laws (BSocSc/LLB(Hons)) this year.

The award of the Hillary Medal was established in 2006 to recognize excellence in graduates of the Sir Edmund Hillary Programme. The Medals are offered on an annual basis to students currently on the Sir Edmund Hillary Programme. To be eligible for the Award, applicants must demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, a very high level of achievement to date in either a sporting code, or a performing or creative art and exceptional leadership qualities.
