Ontario’s Minister and Deputy Minister of Aboriginal Affairs David Zimmer and Deborah Richardson will provide an overview of Canada’s history with First Nations, Inuit and Métis people.

They will then dive into a deeper discussion on related reforms to Ontario’s education sector. This discussion will include recent changes such as new school curriculum for all students that provides a more balanced perspective on the history and culture of indigenous peoples and improved access to quality education for Indigenous people through new grants and programs.
