EV's from 2016 Electric vehicles return to the University of Waikato

Following a successful event in 2016, Electric Vehicles are returning to the University on Thursday 4 May 2017 as part of the #LeadingtheCharge Road Trip from Bluff to Cape Reinga. Electric vehicles (EVs) will be coming to the University of Waikato’s Student Centre on Thursday 4th May at 11:30am for display in the front of W Block, School of Graduate Research.

This is the third year of the trip and the second time that the #LeadingtheCharge team have made the University as their Hamilton stop and we look forward to welcoming them again.

Leading The Charge is a project of the Better NZ Trust, whose vision is to create environmental, financial and health benefits for all New Zealanders through education, and assisting in the adoption of zero carbon renewable energy technologies. In November 2016 the Trust were awarded the Sustainable Business Network Award for "Communicating Sustainability"The cars started in Bluff on the 19th April and finish up in Cape Reinga around the 10th May. The Centre for Environmental, Resources and Energy Law (CEREL) are supporting this initiative through this free event and would encourage all students to come and see what driving the future will be! *W Block is just outside the front of the Student Centre, Library.
