Electric vehicles (EVs) offer New Zealand with a great opportunity to tackle climate change and related problems, but it is a challenge to move to high levels of uptake of EVs.
The Centre for Environmental, Resources and Energy Law (CEREL) of University of Waikato and the Better NZ Trust invite you to the Hamilton stop of the #LeadingTheCharge: Electric Vehicles for a Better New Zealand road trip. The road trip spans the length of the country from the Cape Reinga to Invercargill.
As a part of the event EVs will be displayed on campus. A workshop will be run providing an insight into the obstacles that EVs have faced in the US, an overview of University of Waikato research into EV policy choices for New Zealand, and into teaching EV engineering to equip the workforce of the future.
Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP to [email protected] for catering purposes by 7 April 2016.
