Central Library

The Central Library is located in Te Manawa - The Student Centre near the heart of the University of Waikato Campus. Campus Map: Student Centre. See also Disability Access.

Student Centre Level 2 Computer Area


Level 2 Computer Area is open for students to use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There will be no staff on after hours, however Unisafe - the campus security service - are on site 24/7. For emergencies and after hours security patrol ring ext 4444 or 838-4444.

How do I get access?

Ask at the Level 2 Desk for a form which verifies that you are a currently enrolled student. Take the form to Security who will programme your ID card to open the door. Note that there is no charge for gaining after-hours access. You will then have after-hours access using your ID card. Access is available 5 minutes after the Library closes each day.

Teaching Resources Library

The Teaching Resources Library (formerly Education) is located on the University of Waikato campus, Hillcrest Road, between Gates 4 and 5. See Campus Map: Teaching Resources Library.

The entrance to the Teaching Resources Library is at ground level of TL Block of the Faculty of Education. This Library is now all in one room (TL3.19); located up one floor from the entrance level. See also Disability Access.

The University of Waikato Collections are integrated at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic Library.

It may also be worth noting that there is paid parking available at Gate 5 which is quite close to the Central Library and Teaching Resources Library.
