The erection of the hoardings to enclose the internal construction zone where a lift shaft and communications duct will be built, has begun today. The hoardings are being erected on level 1 first followed by levels 2, 3 and 4. Some moderate noise is associated with this work but only one level at a time should be affected. It is expected that all the hoardings will be erected by the end of this week.
The noise level in the library will be intermittent today as work is in progress. Please be aware that as hoardings are erected around the new communications and lift shaft site (in the centre of the Library on every floor) there will be some noise.
