Building notes - inside and out

Inside:  work is almost finished on the lift shaft within the central hoardings. Work continues inside the first phase of the new hoardings, with cable trays being put in the ceilings ready for the cables to be installed next week. The hoardings will then be dismantled and reused for Phase 2 out to the east wall. Phase 2 will not begin for another week or so, so current arrangements will stay in place throughout next week.

Outside: Two thirds of the flooring for Level 2 of the east wing is now in place, with the final pour scheduled for 5am on Friday. This will include the exterior ramp up to the entrance. The concrete is 20% 'fly ash' - waste material from the Huntly power station, as part of the 5 green star aspect of the building. Ideally, we will want no rain for the next six weeks, as the flooring phase is quite critical.
