October 4, 2009 - October 10, 2009

This page provides a weekly view of the events that occurred or are planned for the week: October 4, 2009 - October 10, 2009.

The New Zealand Collection's ambient temperature continues to be very cold because work being done on the new wing requires the walls behind the hoardings to be open. Until the roof is on, there is little chance of a comfortable working environment for users of the collection or the staff.

NZ Collection staff are therefore working from the back office and are on call to provide assistance. Just give the bell on the front desk a ping if you need help, and we hope to be back to normal soon.

In recent times the north and east walls of the Library have been broken through as part of the construction project.  In some parts of the Library there are now only thin hoardings between us and the elements.  This is making it very difficult to manage the temperature in the Library.  The New Zealand Collection is particularly cold at the moment.  Please use the bell provided to call for assistance if the desk is not staffed.  Level 4 is the warmest place for study purposes.
