We have arranged for S1:01 to be available throughout the year for students who are looking for somewhere quiet to study.
The room will be available from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

I think the hours for the study space should be extended to be the same hours that the library is open.
The Education Library is not suffering from construction noise so you might find that is a quiet place to work. It is open until 9pm Monday - Thursday, to 5pm on Friday and on Saturday and Sunday it is open from 11am to 5pm.
i also think the room should be available for longer hours. also can the library hours be extended in weekends? although not everyone studies in weekends there are still students who do.
It's not just the construction. It's people talking in the library including the library staff. I never sit near the open spaces where the staff desks are. I hope these kind of thing were addressed in the plans for the new library. There much less study space, available desks and power points.
Hi Michelle - it is sensible not to sit near the Information Desks if you are wanting a quiet study environment as these points are designed for interaction with staff and students who are seeking help.
However, I will remind Library staff that non-essential conversations at these desks and in other public areas of the Library can be distracting to library users.
