Water feature: the scaffolding on the stairs has gone and the reflection pool has been drained. The section of the wall below the stairs will now be sealed.

Platform: the platform at the bottom of the stairs will be sanded and refinished this Saturday morning. The gap between the step and platform will be attended to at the same time.

 The main lift needs to be taken out of service for a number of hours to allow work to be done to update the system.  This has nothing to do with the struggles it has had in recent times - which were caused by dust affecting the contacts.  Schindlers will carry out this work between 5.00pm Friday (tomorrow) and 1.00pm Saturday i.e. outside open hours.  They are confident that they can complete the work within this time, but if for some reason the lift is still out of service at 1.00pm on Saturday, signage will direct people to use the stairs.
