The Information Commons - Te Awhina

The Information Commons opened on February 9th 2004. It is on Level 1 of the Central Library and provides a physically attractive, integrated learning facility with seamless and quick access to both print and digital resources.

Expert staff are on hand to help with study skills, and accessing and using information and technology. There are 120 computers (including Macintoshes). Database and Internet access, word processing, scanners and colour printing are available. Workstations are arranged in different ways to take into account differing working styles. Group and individual study places are available, along with food and drink machines for quick snacks.
