These are located in the Central Library, on Level 3 of the Student Centre.
Scope
The General Collections comprise the Books collection and Journals collection. This material supports graduate and undergraduate study, research and teaching and in Science & Engineering, Arts & Social Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics & Statistics, Maori & Pacific Development and Management.
VHS videos are also shelved in the Books Collection. Large books are held in a separate sequence at the begining of the Books Collection.
New Book and Journal Displays
Most new items received in the Library are displayed for one week before being shelved in the collections. The Central Library New Book and New Journal Displays can be found on Level 2 of the Student Centre. You can also browse our lists of new resources.
Quiet Study Area
The area at the South end of the Journals Collection is designated as a quiet study area.
