Access
There are three access points to the Library:- Level 2 from Hillcrest Road
- Level 1 near A Block
- Level 0 near L Block
- There is a lift from Level 0 that stops at Level 1 (Bennetts) and Level 2 (main entrance to the Student Centre)

Furniture and Equipment
You will need your ID card to borrow these items.
- Chairs, Adjustable Workstations and Catalogue
- Chairs: A kneeler chair and a gas chair are available from the Service Desk on level 2. Please make sure you have your ID card.
- Workstations: The pod at the south end of the computer area on Level 2 (East Wing) has adjustable workstations that are reserved for the use of students who wish to use the kneeler or gas chairs.
- Catalogue: If access to the catalogue machines is problematic, please ask for assistance at the Assignment and Research Help Desks on Level 2 and Level 4. Please note that the catalogue is accessible from any workstation via the Library website.
- Book Slope
- Available from Course Reserve in the Central Library.
- Tracballs
- Some of our PCs are operated by a mouse. If you have difficulty using a mouse and would find a tracball easier, ask at Level 2 Service Desk.
Services
- Collecting
- You may place a hold on items which show as available in the catalogue and you will be notified when the items are available for you. If you are unable to do this you can email a list of items you require to libycirc@waikato.ac.nz or hand the list to the staff on the Level 2 Service Desk. Please include title, author and call number of the items you require.
- Photocopying
- Give a list of your requirements, together with a contact phone number, to staff at the Level 2 Service Desk. When the material is ready, we will contact you and advise of the charges. If you have any special requirements e.g. enlarged copies, please let us know. Please note that we are bound by Copyright legislation.
- Searching
- Contact staff at the Level 2 Assignment and Research Help Desk if you require special assistance in searching databases.
- Tutorials
- Contact the Information Services Team regarding tutorials (ext. 8169 or 6512). We can arrange some time together, or refer you to our Subject Librarians if appropriate.
