WISE: Author search

To find items written by a particular author:

enter the family name followed by the first initial or name, in the
1. Search for box
select Author in the 2. Search by box
click on the grey Search button

WISE hints:

the author’s exact name must be known
authors may be either individuals or organisations
author searching will not find the authors of journal articles unless a reprint of the article is available in the Library e.g. for Course Reserves
look at the Author section of the Search Examples at the bottom of the search screen for further search tips
use the Subject or Keyword search functions to find information about an author
