WISE: Title search

When the exact title of an item is known:

enter the title omitting any initial article (e.g. the, a, an, te), in the
1. Search for box
select Title begins with in the 2. Search by box
click on the grey Search button

Title searching may be used for any item such as a journal (but not the title of a journal article), video, map, DVD, or book.

WISE hints:

some titles include a sub-title which starts immediately after the colon and may not be required in a search, unless the main title is very common e.g. Introduction to accounting
if only part of a title is known, search by Keyword anywhere
the Quick Limit feature may be used in title searching to specify year of publication, or format i.e. DVDs/Videos and Journals
additional search tips may be found in the Title begins with section of the Search Examples at the bottom of the search screen
