In summary, intentional plagiarism is:
  • deliberately copying someone else’s work without proper acknowledgment
  • knowingly allowing other students to submit your work for assessment under their name
  • using facts or ideas from another source without proper acknowledgement
  • cutting and pasting material from the Internet without citing the source
  • using translated passages from material written in other languages
  • quoting a sentence or paragraph from another source without acknowledgement
  • summarising someone else’s work without acknowledgement
  • paraphrasing a copied extract in an attempt to disguise it
