September 2009 Archives

the applications for the Th3sis in 3 competition have closed and there has been a huge amount of interest.   We have received 62 entries across 5 Schools/ Faculty and we will be running 5 heats.  The judges for the heats have been confirmed and am happy to announce that  Jeremy Bell, Malcolm Carr and Lisa Finucane have agreed to find the finalists for us.

The  full list of heats are as follows and it would be really good to see as many of you as possible at these heats.

Thursday             1st October          S.1.03    3pm

From these 62 entries, eight doctoral students will be competing in the final on 28th October at the Academy, starting at 7.00pm.  As this event will be compared by Te Radar we are hoping it will generate a lot of interest and there will be media releases and advertising around it, so put it in your diaries.
The judging panel for the finals has been confirmed and will be  Jerry Rickman (Consultant, PWC), Tureiti Moxon (Managing Director of Te Kohao Health Ltd and the Deputy Chairman of Trust Waikato) and Prof Doug Sutton. The prizes will be presented by the Vice Chancellor.
