As a highly motivated mathematics facilitator I have a particular interest in supporting low-achieving students’ motivation and engagement in mathematics. With my extensive knowledge in this area I set high expectations for all students and support them in their achievements. Inquiry-mindedness and my desire for new knowledge pushes me to keep up to date with new initiatives and relevant research, which supports me in enhancing my pedagogy and relaying this to students and staff.
“We are blessed to have someone of Amanda's calibre working in our school. She has developed great professional relationships with our staff which she backs up with not just her pedagogical knowledge but her classroom teaching. She certainly is a taonga.” – Principal.
