My Experience

The ever-changing kaleidoscope of New Zealand education can take schools, teachers and learning communities on a rollicking learning pathway. Since 2010 I have worked alongside schools to unpack their current position, identify their desired position or goals, and co-construct a prioritised action plan to achieve this. Working collaboratively with leadership teams, we build teacher capability, accelerate student learning outcomes, and promote cohesive learning pathways across the board.

Considerable experience as a teacher, middle leader, deputy principal, education consultant, and PLD facilitator brings value to my role in supporting your professional development. This learning pathway has included working from Year 1 to 10 classes in New Zealand English medium schools, as Head of Language in an IB International school in Germany, and as an Assessment and Leadership consultant in the Middle East. I have developed culturally responsive PLD support with extensive multi-cultural experience in South Auckland, Pasifika, Kura Kaupapa Māori, and International Schools, supporting a deep understanding of high impact teaching pedagogy.

Working with flexibility to meet a learning community’s contextual needs, strengths and aspirations - I am passionate about making a difference while utilising my experience as a facilitator and mentor.
