My Experience

Learning, coaching and mentoring is my passion. As a literacy/English language learners facilitator, I have worked in a world where cultural intelligence is imperative, as background, language, and culture are shared and understood, they play an integral part in daily life.

Along with strong content and pedagogical knowledge, my effectiveness lies in my “way of being”, and the skills and knowledge that I have developed, and can utilise, to effect change. Changes in the beliefs and perceptions of teachers and leaders as they develop new skills, can result in significant personal and professional learning.

The purpose of effective PLD is to create excellence through creating habits of effective inquiry and practice, both in myself and in the teachers and leaders with whom I work. The coaching and mentoring that I provide supports teachers and leaders to become more powerful observers, self-generating learners and leaders, and more effective practitioners. PLD must have the potential to be transformative, generating profound learning and deep constructive change.

Excellence is the unlimited ability to improve the quality of what you have to offer. (Rick Pitino)
