This conference proposes to explore the pool of indigenous knowledge and research under the following three themes:
HE MANAWA AUAHA
Research in this area is aligned with mātauranga Māori and Indigenous knowledge. It will focus on unlocking the innovation potential of Indigenous knowledge, resources and people.
IMAGINE THE INVISIBLE
HE MANAWA ORA
Health is primarily determined by social and economic factors. Research in this area will examine the links between health, socio-economic development and concepts of well-being. It will also explore sustainable development pathways that will enhance the well-being of our communities in keeping with Indigenous paradigms.
EXPLORE THE POTENTIAL
HE MANAWA TOITOI
We facilitate opportunities for reflection, engagement with new ideas, and dialogue to enhance thinking around key issues of Indigenous development. We also promote Indigenous research and capacity-building programmes based on advancing Indigenous scholarship and leadership.
