Services:Information on sources of funds for researchInformation is available on a large number of external granting organisations, staff are encouraged to meet with UNILink staff to discuss external funding potential in specific areas, or refer to the UNILink website http://www.waikato.ac.nz/research/unilink/ Liaison with granting agenciesUNILink has established relationships with research funding agencies and can arrange visits to coincide with funding rounds. Proposal preparation and adviceAll applications and proposals to outside organisations, including Industry, require University approval before submission. UNILink staff will give advice on proposal preparation, including the budget, and can assist with framing and critiquing proposals. Contract and administrative servicesUNILink staff assist with contract negotiation, and provide the administrative and accounting services to manage the project. All enquiries about research accounts must be directed to UNILink. Technology transfer, collaborative and end-user relationshipsAgreements can be prepared that formalise relationships with research partners. Intellectual property protectionUNILink arranges intellectual property protection on behalf of the University.
