Advertising Current Vacancies
to Students and Graduates
We advertise current
vacancies to our students through the following webpage:

We will happily advertise full-time or internship positions
at no charge. We are unable to advertise part-time vacancies and recommend
that you do this through Student Job Search (also at no charge) by visiting www.sjs.co.nz.

Direct mail, E-mail,
Posters, Promotional Material and Activities
We can send emails, conduct direct mail outs, put up posters
and advertise on our job board for the following charges.
Emails - These will differ in price depending on how large your traget audience is, a single run will include
one group of students and will cost $100 incl GST. Please note that the cost may increase if the group is not
one targeted frequently. For a larger run the cost can be anything up to $250 incl GST, we are happy to provide a definite quote before
emails are sent.
Mail outs - $1.00 per student for postcards.
$1.00 per student for standard post plus $15 per 100 for labour.
We supply the envelopes and do all the labelling. Anything sent out via post
must include our disclaimer:
"This information has been sent to you from the University of Waikato
careers department. Your information has not been passed on to any 3rd
party. For more information regarding this please email careers@waikato.ac.nz"
Posters - We are happy to display posters for you around
campus for no charge. There is to be a maximum of 10 A4 posters per faculty
(Waikato Management School, Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Engineering,
Computing and Mathematical Sciences, Law, and Education) provided to us. If you wish to only target one specific school or faculty we ask there be a maximum of 25 posters provided. If you wish us to print the posters, we can arrange this and invoice you.
Job Board - We have a physical job board on campus where
we can advertise your vacancy. Material is to be supplied by you (no bigger
than A3), and a close off date is to be provided so we can remove the ads.
There is no charge involved in this.
Resource Room - Within our careers department we make available
resources for students. If you wish for us to hold copies of information
on your company, please post them to us (see contact
us). A maximum of 20 of each item please.

always open to suggestions!
University of Waikato Careers
Fair
The University of Waikato runs Careers Fairs annually.
In 2008 we held the following fairs:
Accounting Careers Expo - Thursday 20th March
Arts, Education and Social Sciences Careers Expo - Tuesday 1st April
Waikato Management School Careers Expo - Wednesday 2nd April
Science, Engineering and ITCareers Expo - Thursday 3rd April

Virtual Careers Fair
The University of Waikato encourages its students to visit
the Virtual Careers Fair which
is held on-line for Australian and New Zealand University students annually
in March of each year, and is the largest annual Australasian graduate careers
event.
Visits to Campus
Please contact us if you would
like to arrange a presentation on campus to our students. We will organise
a venue with the facilities that you need and can help you with information
on the best promotional methods and timing for your presentation. If you
would like further details about the size and technology available in a teaching
room that you have booked, you can go here
There is no charge to book a room on campus. Presentations
are to be 50 minutes long during the day or can be longer for bookings after
5pm. This is to fit in with lectures. Lectures and presentations between
8am and 12pm start on the hour, those starting from 1pm - 5pm start at 10
past the hour.
If you would like to arrange catering for your presentation,
please let us know. We will do our best to arrange a room that has a foyer
area where you can hold refreshments after your presentation. We also have
two preferred caterers and have menus available on request.
Can we hold interviews
on campus?
Yes definitely! Rooms can be booked by contacting
us.
Please note that rooms are not always available so please
make sure you book early.
