Advertising Current Vacancies to Students and Graduates

We advertise current vacancies to our students through the following webpage:
http://www.waikato.ac.nz/sasd/careers/vacancies.shtml

We will happily advertise full-time or internship positions at no charge. We are unable to advertise part-time vacancies and recommend that you do this through Student Job Search (also at no charge) by visiting www.sjs.co.nz.

To advertise, please visit the Register Jobs page here.

Direct mail, E-mail, Posters, Promotional Material and Activities

We can send emails, conduct direct mail outs, put up posters and advertise on our job board for the following charges.

Emails - These will differ in price depending on how large your traget audience is, a single run will include one group of students and will cost $100 incl GST. Please note that the cost may increase if the group is not one targeted frequently. For a larger run the cost can be anything up to $250 incl GST, we are happy to provide a definite quote before emails are sent.

Mail outs - $1.00 per student for postcards.
$1.00 per student for standard post plus $15 per 100 for labour.
We supply the envelopes and do all the labelling. Anything sent out via post must include our disclaimer:

"This information has been sent to you from the University of Waikato careers department.  Your information has not been passed on to any 3rd party.  For more information regarding this please email careers@waikato.ac.nz"

Posters - We are happy to display posters for you around campus for no charge. There is to be a maximum of 10 A4 posters per faculty (Waikato Management School, Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences, Law, and Education) provided to us. If you wish to only target one specific school or faculty we ask there be a maximum of 25 posters provided. If you wish us to print the posters, we can arrange this and invoice you.

Job Board - We have a physical job board on campus where we can advertise your vacancy. Material is to be supplied by you (no bigger than A3), and a close off date is to be provided so we can remove the ads. There is no charge involved in this.

Resource Room - Within our careers department we make available resources for students. If you wish for us to hold copies of information on your company, please post them to us (see contact us). A maximum of 20 of each item please.

Visits to Campus

Please contact us if you would like to arrange a presentation on campus to our students. We will organise a venue with the facilities that you need and can help you with information on the best promotional methods and timing for your presentation. If you would like further details about the size and technology available in a teaching room that you have booked, you can go here

There is no charge to book a room on campus. Presentations are to be 50 minutes long during the day or can be longer for bookings after 5pm. This is to fit in with lectures. Lectures and presentations between 8am and 12pm start on the hour, those starting from 1pm - 5pm start at 10 past the hour.

If you would like to arrange catering for your presentation, please let us know. We will do our best to arrange a room that has a foyer area where you can hold refreshments after your presentation. We also have two preferred caterers and have menus available on request.

Can we hold interviews on campus?

Yes definitely! Rooms can be booked by contacting us.

Please note that rooms are not always available so please make sure you book early.
