At the time of enrolment you (and all students) are required to sign a Student Declaration agreeing to abide by the regulations of the University of Waikato, as published in the Calendar. The Student Discipline Regulations provide the framework for addressing alleged breaches of University regulations by students and for applying penalties where breaches are substantiated. These regulations are administered by the Student Discipline Committee and this committee conducts formal disciplinary hearings with students when a complaint of misconduct is received.

This Student Discipline website provides information you need to know about the University's policies and procedures for student discipline matters. A finding of misconduct against a student can have serious and long-term consequences, so it is important that if a complaint is made against you, you take it seriously and respond appropriately.
