Nikki Kennedy used her Start Up Waikato Scholarship to unite her two areas of study: te reo Māori and design. In 2016 she launched her online business creating and selling te reo Māori homewares, and at the rate her business is going, it won't be long before she achieves her dream of running it full time.
Nikki's dream is to see te reo Māori normalised and used in homes and businesses across Aotearoa New Zealand - what's yours? Apply for a Start Up Waikato Scholarship and turn your vision into a reality!
For students who are enrolled at the University of Waikato at the time of application or have recently graduated from the University of Waikato. The programme provides a unique, hands-on experience for the participants tailored to progress their ideas through to start-up ventures under the guidance of an expert start-up coach.
