Te Ako Tauhōkai
Distance Education
"Ko te rākau kāore ōna pakiaka, kāore e pakari te
tū"
Te Ako Tauhōkai is the offering of papers through Distance Education.
The papers offered can be credited towards a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor
of Māori and Pacific Development, or any other qualification where these
papers may fulfil the requirements for that qualification.
These papers are offered both nationally and internationally, with students
being able to study in the comfort of their own homes.
Students are required to complete written and listening exercises for each
paper, with assistance from the resources that are delivered to you upon
completion of your enrolment. Each paper has a course-specific Study Guide
that outlines paper expectations and assessment due dates. All language papers
require the specified textbook and audiotape set from the 'Te Whanake' series,
which is included in the resources. All tikanga papers have a book of Selected
Readings, which is also included in the resources for those papers.
