Make the most of your student experience at Waikato by getting involved with the many leadership and advancement opportunities available here and abroad. Involvement in the various aspects of student life can demonstrate leadership quality and proactivity to potential employers, and you get to have fun while you do it.
Class Representatives
Class Representatives are the link between the University, academic staff, and students. They are elected by their peers in each paper to pass on to teaching staff any feedback regarding educational issues.Class Representatives are coordinated, trained and supported by the Student Support Adviser in the Office of Student Life
Cultural Hour
Wednesday 1.00 – 2.00 pm is free of lectures and tutorials so clubs and societies can meet, and so that other student and University activities can be held.
Student Exchange Programmes
Undergraduate students who have completed the equivalent of two semesters at Waikato have the chance to spend a semester at one of over 30 partner universities around the world. You can find out more at the International Centre, on the first floor of the Student Union Building. Alternatively, email studentexchange@waikato.ac.nz
