Accommodation

Study abroad and exchange students are able to apply for fully-catered and self-catered on-campus housing.

On-campus housing

The University owns and operates four Halls of Residence (dormitories) known as College Hall, Student Village, Bryant Hall and Orchard Park. In the halls, you will be part of a community of students from both New Zealand and throughout the world. However due to very high demand - particularly in the A semester - placement cannot be guaranteed.

Full details on the current prices, how to apply,  book airport pick-up and more information can be found on the accommodation pages.

Application process

You are encouraged to submit your accommodation application at the same time as your application to study. Students not placed in on-campus accommodation will be placed in temporary off-campus accommodation such as a backpackers' hostel or similar for three nights (extend-able on arrival).

Please note that only the University Halls of Residence and homestay accommodation arranged by the University have been assessed under the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
