WaiBoost

The three-day WaiBoost programme is aimed at undergraduate students whose grades do not reflect their academic potential. Student referrals are made by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, and Te Piringa — Faculty of Law.

WaiBoost covers time management, interpreting an assignment task, academic reading, creating notes from readings, taking notes during lectures, summarising and paraphrasing, academic argument, using the library, and using digital technologies.

Students must attend all sessions to complete the programme and will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

have been saying
"This WaiBoost course has been wonderful. I have certainly learnt a lot regarding note-taking, summarising and paraphrasing. Also good tips on time management. Thank you so much. I would recommend this course to anyone who needs it!!"

"Happy about the Boost and the important elements I've learnt to assist me with my school work & study."

"Now I know that I'm not the only one finding difficulties in referencing, time management and assignments. Therefore I am confident and willing to do my best to pass with good marks."
