How to Get In...

With NCEA »
You will need University Entrance with the literacy and numeracy requirements plus 42 credits at level 3 NCEA in specified subjects.
Alternative Entry Requirements »
You may be eligible for Admission at Entrance Level from CIE, IB or other qualifications or you may be eligible for Special Admission or Discretionary Entrance.
Fees and Costs for Domestic Students »
Domestic Student Tuition Fees are calculated on a paper-by-paper basis, so you will only pay for the courses you take. New Zealand, Australian, Cook Islands Māori, Nuiean, and Tokelauan students are eligible to pay domestic tuition fees.

Admission

English Language Requirements »
Applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide satisfactory evidence of English language proficiency, generally in the form of an IELTS or TOEFL score.
Academic Entry Requirements »
All international applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. These general entry requirements will indicate the likelihood that you will have met the academic requirements for admission to The University of Waikato.
Fees and Costs for International Students »
Australian, Cook Islands Māori, Nuiean and Tokelauan students pay domestic tuition fees. Students from all other countries should refer to the Table of Costs for International Students.
