A Semester Tuesday 9th April 2013
Graduation is a very special event in the annual University calendar that you can’t help but look foward too. It is the epitome of everything we strive to do here at the University of Waikato and makes all the struggle, sacrifice and effort worthwhile for both the student, teacher and their friends and families.
Graduation on our Marae Te Kohinga Mārama is a unique opportunity which is distinctive to Waikato and open to all nationalities. It is always a moving and colourful experience with whānau and friends able to express their pride and aroha through karanga, song, haka and dance.
On Tuesday 9th April two ceremonies were held to honour the various graduands.
The morning ceremony saw 94 graduands hailing from the Faculty of Computing and Mathematical Science, Faculty of Education, Te Piringa Faculty of Law, Faculty of Science and Engineering become graduates.
In the afternoon a further 53 graduands from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Māori and Pacific Development and the Waikato Management School also graduated.
