“This programme promotes scholarship as a means of pedagogical growth and improved learning. Programme coordinator Dorothy Spiller encouraged Dr Hume to engage in action research into her own teaching.  Dr Hume credits this programme with opening her eyes to the research opportunities that tertiary teaching practice offers and to the long-term benefits this scholarship has for student learning.”

Anne Hume, School of Education University research award winner (http://edlinked.soe.waikato.ac.nz/news/index.php?type=staff)
