Teaching Advocacy Programme

The Teaching Advocate Programme was launched in 2010 to draw on the strengths and interests of staff in different disciplines as we work to raise the profile and practice of teaching at this University. Each Faculty is given a small funding which is used to promote teaching in their area.

The Advocacy scheme has allowed interested staff to meet and discuss relevant teaching and assessment-related strategies; to explore the use of Panopto to support student learning; to present papers that focus on education at discipline-related conferences.

The Faculty Advocates for 2011 are:
Juliet Chevalier-Watts (Law)
Donna Campbell (SMPD)
Nick Cavenagh (FCMS)
Marcus Wilson (FSEN)
Michael Cameron and Cheryl Cockburn-Wooten (WMS)
Tracy Bowell (FASS)
Anne Hume (FED)
